Monday night we decided to put up the Christmas tree! I love having the Christmas decorations up. The house always looks so much prettier. Especially at night. Spencer helped hang a few of the ornaments.
But he mostly did a lot of this...
...playing with the little ornaments while mom and dad put the tree up. His favorite is the little train ornament (of course). He always has to take it off the tree and play with it. But he hasn't been too interested in taking any of the other ornaments down so I think our tree is safe for this year.
Other than decorating the house for Christmas we haven't been up to too much lately. Spencer has really turned crazy lately. I don't know what happened but lately he is out of control sometimes. He climbs everywhere, loves to yell and run into walls and couches, and just has tons of energy. Perhaps it's because I'm getting quite large and don't like to chase him around as much? All I know is he's crazy. :) I don't have many pictures of him but I have a ton of videos. Here are a few of our favorites. (and by our, I mean Spencer's too. He really cannot get enough of watching himself on the computer. It's slightly ridiculous.)
This first video tells you how much I must yell Bryce's name. Spencer likes to call us Bryce and Leen sometimes. And he's even started calling grandma Stacey. He is especially good at yelling Bryce's name when he's doing something silly or something Spencer doesn't like.
One night Bryce put Spencer on the top bunk and was playing hide and seek with him. Sure it made me a little nervous but I try to just go with the flow. Spencer and I frequently take walks outside and he always tells me which way he wants to go by saying, "This way? Yea!" And he does it for mostly everything now. We discovered on Thanksgiving that he really loves to play Just Dance on the Wii. His favorite song is "who let the dogs out" and so every time we walk by the stairs that lead to the basement (which is where the Wii is) he says "Downstairs? This way? Dog? YEA!" It's usually our workout in the mornings. We're definitely going to school everyone at Christmas. So be ready Aunt Jenny and Aunt Sarah. :) Anyway, that has nothing to do with the video. All that has to do with the video is that Spencer tells Bryce "this way".
Last video. Spencer's new favorite word is awesome. While playing in the garage one night he would not stop yelling it.
A few other funny things about Spencer. Today I discovered that he is quite the singer. We were playing the piano and I started singing a scale and Spencer followed right along. And he was pretty close to hitting every note too. He loves being chased by the vacuum. Every time I get it out I spend more time chasing him around with it than actually vacuuming. Spencer loves to play with money (coins). And he especially loves to put money in his mouth because he knows how much mommy hates it. He will put it in his mouth and say "mmmm, good!" I usually always know when he's found some money and is eating it because he's saying "mmmm, good!" and staring at me to see my reaction. He also loves reading stories. One of his favorites is Olivia. In the book Olivia gets a time out for painting on the walls. And lately Spencer has found himself on time out quite a few times. It's usually daddy who puts Spencer on time out because mom is such a push over. And usually when I read Olivia with Spencer he always says "daddy? time out?" when we get to Olivia's time out. I think it's pretty funny. He's just getting so big and is such a great little boy.
And for those still reading this long post, I am now 30 weeks pregnant! That means only 10 weeks to go! I feel like this pregnancy has gone by pretty fast. It's a good thing we have 10 more weeks because I don't feel quite ready for the baby yet. And we still have no idea on a name...like no idea at all. My plan is to have something at least by the time we go to the hospital. We'll see how that works out. I've been feeling pretty good lately and my doctor appointments only take about 10 seconds total, so everything is going great. It seems like I can feel my stomach growing every second, which I suppose is a good thing right? That's what I tell myself anyway. It's still hard to imagine bringing a new baby boy into our family. But we are excited to meet him in about two months! This picture is me on Sunday after church at 29 1/2 weeks pregnant.
