Week One

Well it's been a little over a week now since we brought baby Owen home. And things are going pretty well. We have definitely been adjusting but we are starting to get a better idea of what Owen likes and what he doesn't. After thinking he wasn't a swaddler we have decided now he sleeps so much better when he is swaddled. Even though he cries while we do it. And one thing he does not like is the binky!! I've been meaning to get some different kind of binkies to see if he would like another kind. But he gets really upset when we try and give him the binky. If you hold it in his mouth long enough he will eventually start taking it but he's never very happy about it. Spencer is doing pretty well adjusting to having a new little brother. He likes to give Owen kisses when he's sad.

I put Owen on the floor while I was getting ready and Spencer had to lay down next to him and have some blanket too. Notice his baby bear and ducky aren't too far away. He carries those around a lot. 

I made Owen a little brother shirt to match Spencers. I had to turn on the TV to get Spencer to hold still.

But then I put him in the chair holding Owen and he loved it and was all smiles! 

Finally a picture of daddy and Owen! We didn't get any of Bryce with him until this past Sunday. Spencer, Owen, and I all stayed home from church but Bryce looked so handsome in his Sunday clothes I figured it was a great time to get a picture. We tried to get one with Spencer too but he wasn't having it. He stayed home from church because he had the stomach flu! He's doing better now and we're really hoping no one else gets it!

This is one of Owen's favorite ways to be held. It usually always calms him down.
