Reading Stories

I really love this picture.

Lately I have been letting Spencer help me put Owen to down for naps. It's much easier than trying to find something that will distract Spencer long enough. Because that usually ended with him barging in the room right when I was laying Owen down in his crib. Anyway, Spencer loves it. We read Owen a little book and then sing a song or two. Spencer turns the monitor on, the fan on, and closes the door. And he usually always waits outside the room while I lay Owen in his crib. This takes a lot less time now anyway since Owen won't even allow me to rock him to sleep anymore. He's way too wiggly.

It is usually pretty crazy though. Especially the story reading. Spencer usually wants to read the book. And Owen always wants to hold and eat the book. And Spencer is not okay with that. So I just had to laugh when I went back and looked at the cute picture above and then watched this video. This wasn't before nap time, but you get the idea. It just reminded me that pictures usually don't tell the whole story. And even though they look so cute and calm in the picture, that's not really how it went down. :)
